Lakme 9to5 CC cream review.

Hello everyone,

Hope you all are doing well 😊. Nowdays bb and cc creams are really in trend. Most people prefer using something light on their face as they dont want their makep to look all caked up at the end of the day. Well bb and cc creams are just made to make your makeup work easy☺. These are tinted moisturisers which have spf as well as give you some coverage. Isn't that great? You get all in just one cream and with this you save so much time as you don't need to apply any moisturiser or sunscreen.

Today's post is about lakme 9to5 CC cream which is launched in a new packaging and formulation.

I have done a detailed review on ponds bb cream, you all can check it out here:
Ponds bb+ fairness cream SPF 30 PA++

what are CC creams ?

CC creams are known as complexion care cream or color  control cream. These help to reduce redness and uneven skin tone. They contain sun protection and moisturise your skin. CC creams give light coverage and brighten up dull skin making it look youthful and fresh. These have skin care benifits as well.

Now lets get started with the review of lakme 9to5 CC cream.☺

So these creams are available in two shades
*beige (fair to medium fair skin tones)

*bronze (dusky and darker skin tones)

The shade bronze was darker for my skin and beige was really light for my skin tone and looked a bit ashy on me but i still went for beige as this cream tends to get oxidised on my skin and after some time it perfectly matches my skin tone. If you don't have the problem of creams getting oxidised then make sure to pick the right shade for your skin that matches perfectly.
Price : 275/- 30 g

Whats new about lakme 9to5 CC cream ?

So earlier it was just lakme CC cream but now lakme has come up with the new name and has added 9to5 which means that this cream would last for a long time just as the other 9to5 range from lakme.
It has also increased the SPF level. Earlier it was SPF 20 with no PA++ but now it has SPF 30 and PA++ which i liked alot.

Packaging:

There is no such difference in the packaging. It is same as the old cc cream. This cream comes in a glossy bright pink package which looks really attractive and classy. All the details about the product is printed on the carton. Inside the carton is the tube which is in a beautiful rose gold shade. It looks quite similar to the 9to5 weightless mousse.
The tube also has the same details printed on it as the outer carton has. It is sleek and can be easily carried anywhere.

Usage :

Apply the cream in dots accross cleansed face and neck. Gently blend using finger tips.
Don't apply a lot of cream or else your skin might look ashy and fake. A little goes a long way.

What product claims?

Lakme complexion care cream instantly protects, moisturizes , brightens , evens skin tone , conceals & freshens.
This instant skin stylist brings together all the goodness of your daily skin cream with just the right touch of make-up to give you skin that looks styled by an expert , everyday.

Texture :

The texture of this cream is smooth and soft. After you apply this cream you need to wait for sometime to get it completely absorbed into your skin.

My views on this cream :

I always love using the ponds bb cream as it perfectly matches my skin and has spf 30.
When i saw this new lakme cc cream i went ahead and bought this as i really wanted to see the differnce between a bb and cc cream.
I have used this both during the day and night and i found this cream quite good for my skin . I always apply this 30 minutes before i leave my house as it takes 10-15 minutes to get absorbed into my skin and completely match up my skin tone.
It protects your skin from the harmful UV rays as it comes with an SPF of 30 PA++. It does moiturise and brightens up your skin. So according to me this cream works best for people with dry skin.

I have combination skin and i used it without a moisturizer beneath, after 2-3 hours my T-zone area started to get oily. If you have dry skin then you should definitely try this one, i would not recommend this to people with oily skin as you might need to do touchups quite often.
It also makes your face look fresh and even toned. This cream gives a light coverage so don't expect this to hide or conceal your imperfections.

lasting time :

If you have dry skin it will easily last for 5-6 hours on your skin. It might get a little oily near the nose or chin but that can be ignored becase no cream on this earth can stop you from sweating and getting oily ,(speacially T-zone) you can always correct it by dapping a tissue paper or use a compact.
But if you have oily skin it would last for 2-3 hours max.

Pros :

*affordable
*easily available
*evens out and brightens skin tone.
*has sun protection (SPF 30 PA++)
*works good for dry skin.
*great for people who don't like to apply foundation.

Cons :

*not suitable for oily skin
*could have included more shades

These CC creams would be great for an everyday use specially for college students. You can skip your foundation for this cream and include this to your daily summer essentials☺

I hope todays post was helpful , do share your views about this cream.

Thank you,
Samira.
