︴Curly Hair Care ︴

Hello 'curly girls'😊.

Todays post is specially for girls with curly hair like me!😀
Being a curly girl i know the pain of dealing with problems like frizz, dry hair , dull hair, splitends and many more. But hold on girls today i am going to share some tips which i am following since one year , and trust me i have noticed a huge difference in my hair.

This post is just to let you girls know that curly hair is beautiful.❤All you need to do is take proper care and love your hair.

Curly hair is unique and has to be treated differently. One of the biggest mistakes girls do is getting their hair straightened or burn their hair with chemical treatments. 😒

You need to follow some simple steps :

         DO NOT USE HEAT TOOLS

The most important thing you need to do is Stop using any heat tools. There was a time when i used to straighten my hair a lot which damaged my hair so much. And i still regret doing that. !
I know that there comes a point when girls think their hair is ugly , they don't know what to do with it and start hating their hair. And then they just end up straightning which makes the hair so damaged ! Stop using straightners, blow dryers, curlers or any heat tool. Just stop✖.

       USE SULFATE FREE SHAMPOO

Sulfates are commonly found in most of the shampoos and detergents. It helps the shampoo to lather which cleans your hair but at the same time sulfates strip of the natural oil from the hair making your hair dry and frizzy. Curly hair is naturally dry , so using shapoos containing sulfates dry out your hair even more and make it a frizz ball. Some common sulfates you need to avoid in the ingredient list while buying a shampoo are :
1)sodium lauryl sulfate
2)sodium myneth sulfate
3)sodium laureth sulfate
4)ammonium laureth sulfate
5)amonium lauryl sulfate.

I use the IHT 9 LASS NATURAL SHAMPOO.
It is SLS and paraben free and completely natural. Price - 245/- for 200ml. You can get this online.
There are many other sulfate free shampoos available in india so get one for yourself as soon as possible.!

AVOID PRODUCTS WITH SILICONES.

Silicones are found in conditioners shapoo and many styling products. Silicones are not water soluble and thus they start to build up on the hair shaft and scalp making your hair brittle and dry. Silicones are not natural ingredients and it can be very bad for your hair specially for curly hair. It acts like a plastic tube around the hair and gives a fake shine. This shine stays only for some days and after that it starts to build up and does not allow the conditioner to get in. This leads to lack of moisture, frizzy hair , breakage ! Silicones make your hair lifeless and dull with time. Every ingredient which ends with words like 'cone' 'conol' 'xane' are silicones..!

I use the tresemme naturals conditioner with aloe vera and avocado. This conditioner is silicone free and moisturize your hair alot. It is a thick conditioner and has great slip. This conditioner is available online. The body shop has silicone and sulfate free products as well.

         USE A SATIN/SILK PILLOW CASE

Use a satin/silk pillow case instead of a cotton one as cotton pillowcase cause friction and leads to a lot of frizz. Satin pillowcase are really smooth and gentle and helps to maintain the moisture of your hair.
While sleeping its better to braid your hair than keeping it open as braiding keeps the curl more defined and manageable.

                STOP USING A TOWEL

Don't use towel to rub or wrap your hair as they take out all the moisture from the hair and make your hair a lot more frizzy and unmanageable. Instead use a cotton tshirt or a micro fibre towel and scrunch hair slowly as it gives more definition to the curls.

                SWITCH TO AIR DRYING

Don't use a blowdryer to dry your hair. It better to air dry your hair as its more healthy for your hair and makes hair more defined.

NEVER BRUSH CURLY HAIR WHEN ITS                                       DRY

Never brush your hair when its dry as it will separate your curls and make your hair a big poofy frizzy ball. Always use a wide tooth comb and detangle your hair while you are in the shower after applying conditioner. Detangle hair starting from the ends to roots and not from roots to ends as this will prevent breakage and hairfall.

use a wide toothcomb to detangle your hair

Girls just follow these steps and i am sure you will notice the diference in your hair within a month.
Just keep loving your hair , work with what you have and embrace it instead of fighting against it.! Curly hair is beautiful.. its awesome❤.

I hope todays post was helpful to you all. Keep loving and supporting .😇
I'll be back with my next post soon. !!

Thankyou.
